safety

Every year, 100 workers are killed and 20,000 are seriously injured in forklift accidents in the U.S. Lack of training or improper training is a main factor contributed to forklift accidents. Forklift operators must be trained to understand the controls and instrumentation; to pre-inspect the vehicle before use; and to understand forklift stability and the factors that affect it. Before an employee can legally operate a forklift, they MUST have OSHA Compliant training. Failure to do so is a major liability for your company, and your employees; putting their lives at risk, and enhancing the chance of fines from OSHA.

IHS offers training courses to meet the specific requirements of OSHA regulations. All training must be documented, and IHS will provide Certificates of Training and Trained Operator Licenses. OSHA requires that all employees take this training course every 3 years.

All training can be done at your location by a trained IHS Technician and typically can be done in a 4 hour period.

IHS also offers training for Spanish speaking employees.

Recently, a Cohoes, New York company was fined more than $134,000 by OSHA after forklift accidents revealed that the company had not properly trained employees. Don't let this happen to you, call or email us today to get more information.
